Laurie Hernandez Describes Chmerkovskiy Brothers in Unexpected Way
What could be better than one Chmerkovskiy? How about two?! This week, Laurie Hernandez danced the samba with partner Val and his older brother, Maks.
When questioned about which brother was the toughest, she laughed, “They’re both like giant teddy bears. They’re very nice. Very nice."
The week was particularly tough for the Olympian. Her grandmother passed away, and she leaned on her partner. “Val and I were able to create that brother and sister relationship over the past couple weeks. At the moment I needed someone to pick me up and keep me moving forward, he was there for me and we got through it together."
