Rory Feek on His ‘Bittersweet’ Appearance at CMA Awards After Joey's Death
“Extra” special correspondent Alecia Davis caught up with Rory Feek at the CMA Awards, where he was joined by his late wife Joey’s parents.
Of being at the show without Joey, Rory said, “It’s kind of bittersweet. It’s tough because I’m here alone… She would want us to be here.”
Rory and Joey were nominated for Vocal Group of the Year, but were beaten by Brothers Osborne.
It was one of the few public events that Rory has attended since his wife’s death in March.
