Valerie Harper on Her Health and Raising Awareness of Lung Cancer
Actress Valerie Harper, best known for her role as Rhoda on "The Mary Tyler Moore Show," recently stopped by our New York studios at H&M to give "Extra's" AJ Calloway an update on her health.
Valerie was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2009 and discovered in 2013 thatthe cancer cells had spread into the membrane surrounding her brain.
She said her doctors had given her three months to live, and although thedisease was thought to be incurable, Valerie has responded well to chemotherapy to slow the cancer.
