What Taylor Hicks Is Doing 10 Years After ‘Idol’
“Extra’s” Charissa Thompson sat down with “American Idol” Season 5 winner Taylor Hicks to see what he’s been up to in the decade since his big win.
“I’m very fortunate, you know,” the harmonica-toting entertainer said. “‘Idol' allowed me to be able to be in entertainment for 10 years!”
Fast forward to today, and Hicks is appearing on camera in a different capacity. When Charissa congratulated him on his new show, “State Plate,” a travel and food show that celebrates the unique food traditions of all 50 states. Taylor explained, “Each state has an iconic food — Wisconsin cheese, Philly cheesesteak, Maine lobster.”
When asked what the strangest thing he has encountered has been, Taylor responded, “Rocky Mountain oysters,” and made a face.
