Salma Hayek Says Lady Gaga Is the Gucci Expert
“Extra’s” Jenn Lahmers and Special Correspondent Adam Glassman spoke with “House of Gucci” star Salma Hayek at the 2022 SAG Awards, where she wore Gucci.
Hayek admitted “it was really bizarre” to be in a movie about Gucci, which is owned by her husband François-Henri Pinault.
She noted, “I have to tell you, it was funny and weird as well.”
As for how much she knew about the fashion line before signing on for the project, Salma said, “I knew a little bit, my husband knows a lot more.”
Praising her co-star Lady Gaga’s curious nature, “Gaga had some, like, theories about the things that are not published. ‘Ask François.’ She’s so smart… She did a lot of research and I just was, like, the lazy people in school that is asking the girl that saw this a lot, you know…? I knew some but she’s the expert.”
Hayek has also been complimentary about Gaga during their promotional tour for “House of Gucci.”
“House of Gucci” was nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture, which was eventually won by “CODA.”
Salma’s co-star Lady Gaga and Jared Leto were also nominated for their roles, but neither won.
