‘Tiger’ Co-Director Reveals Surprising Detail About Tiger Woods’ Relationship with Rachel Uchitel
Tiger Woods is arguably the greatest golfer of all time, whose downward spiral of sex addiction, scandal, and DUI arrest fueled the tabloid machine for years.
The new HBO special “Tiger” takes on those personal lows, career highs, and his ultimate comeback.
“Extra’s” Jenn Lahmers caught up with co-director Matthew Hamachek, who says the special includes a revealing look into Tiger’s affair with Rachel Uchitel.
Hamachek shared, “What Tiger wanted was to get into bed and fall asleep and as she put it ‘unplug from the real world.’” He added, “He wanted to watch cartoons and eat cereal and sleep… It seems like there was this constant desire to escape from the pressure of his life.”
“Tiger,” a two-part documentary, was co-directed by Matt Heineman and premieres January 10 on HBO and HBO Max.
