George Clooney Says Casting Ben Affleck in ‘The Tender Bar’ Was Like ‘Catching a Comet’
Only “Extra” is taking you behind the scenes of “The Tender Bar”!
The movie, directed by George Clooney and starring Ben Affleck, is the coming-of-age drama about a boy who bonds with his uncle while growing up on Long Island.
George said of casting Ben as the uncle, “We’re catching a comet with Ben ready to go… and he just showed up and knocked it out of the park.”
Affleck also reflected on his character, saying, “You could identify with him and at other times he’ll surprise you and say things that are sort of shocking.”
