Whoopi Goldberg on Her 'Sister Act’ Surprise on ‘The View'
“Extra’s” Mario Lopez caught up with Whoopi Goldberg before she surprised a group of nuns from Harlem on “The View.”
During the episode, Whoopi dressed up as a nun, similar to her role in the hit film “Sister Act.” She said, "I’m going to come out and freak them out because I’m dressed in their habit — it is going to be different from the habit that you’re used to seeing — and just tell them that the keys and money and everything they could use is coming."
The Franciscan Handmaids of the Most Pure Heart of Mary were given a new Toyota van to help them continue their charitable works in the community, including feeding over 20,000 people a year.
