Jeffrey Katzenberg Talks Quibi’s 50 New Shows, Plus: He Chooses the Perfect One for Billy
The latest streaming service is here! “Extra’s” Billy Bush caught up with Quibi founder Jeffrey Katzenberg to learn more about the short-form mobile video platform.
The videos are just 10 minutes long, and the company plans to launch 50 new shows in the first two weeks.
Some of Hollywood’s biggest names are on board, including Jennifer Lopez, Reese Witherspoon and Chance the Rapper. Katzenberg insisted, “You are going to laugh, you are going to cry.”
Which show does he recommend for Billy? He called “Chrissy’s Court” the “perfect fit.” The show features Chrissy Teigen handling small claims in seven minutes!
Katzenberg added that due to the coronavirus pandemic, they are making Quibi free for the first 90 days. “Every penny counts right now. We don’t want to add to any stress and distress,” he said.
