Chris Hansen Teases ‘Crime Watch Daily’ Interview with So-Called 'Cannibal Cop'
“Extra’s” Mario Lopez sat down with Chris Hansen, who gave a sneak peek of the some of the gripping real-life dramas coming up on the Emmy-winning series “Crime Watch Daily with Chris Hansen."
During their chat at Universal Studios Hollywood, Hansen opened up about one of the most shocking stories, that of the so-called "Cannibal Cop.” He said, "We do an interview with him — Gil Valle, an NYPD officer. His wife goes on his computer and sees he's been on all these websites taking about kidnapping women, raping them, cooking, then eating them.”
Valle was convicted by a jury of conspiracy to kidnap, but was acquitted by a circuit court after the verdict was overturned by the judge in the case.
“It’s really eye-opening and hard to get your arms around it,” Hansen said of the new interview, "but it’s something everybody's gotta see."
