Laverne Cox Talks Her Emmys 2019 Political Statement
“Extra” spoke with actress Laverne Cox at our Levi’s Times Square studio, where she discussed her look at the Emmys!
Cox made a political statement with an Edie Parker rainbow clutch that brought attention to an issue close to her heart with the words, "Oct. 8, Title VII, Supreme Court." She said, “October 8th — the first time transgender rights will be ligitated by the Supreme Court of the United States… I got to use the Emmy platform to talk about an issue that was really important to me, and I love being of service.”
Laverne was on hand to promote her partnernship with BAND-AID RED to fight and end AIDS.
