Alex Shibutani Explains 'Shib Sibs' Nickname
The 2018 Winter Olympics are over, but “Extra” is catching up with some of the medalists, including Alex and Maia Shibutani!
After the ice skating pair won the bronze medal in PyeongChang, they shared the story about their famous nickname “Shib Sibs.” Alex revealed, “We’ve had it for a long time. We’ve been skating together for 14 years, and we’re pretty unique from the standpoint that we’re siblings and we’re skating together.”
When Alex hangs up his skates, he’s looking into a TV career. He joked, “’Mario, you’ve got a little time.’”
