Jane Lynch Is ‘Coming Back’ for ‘Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’ Season 3
Before Season 2 was even streaming, Season 3 of Amazon's hit series “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” was confirmed!
“Extra's” Tanika Ray sat down with Jane Lynch at Universal Studios Hollywood, where she opened up about her character, who will be back for the third season. Jane shared, “I do a character… called Sophie Lennon, who is a comic, but at home she is a smug and self-satisfied, erudite women... I'm coming back, I'm gonna do the whole season, I'm gonna have a bigger presence, which, I'm thrilled! I love playing that part, I love the writers, I love Rachel and Alex, and the producers, of course — it's just great."
“Everyone is loving it — that's because from top to bottom, it's the most gorgeous show,” Lynch added.
Jane is also busy paying it forward, helping to restore the arts in local schools with her Adopt the Arts organization. She said, “It's an organization that I started with my neighbor on this side and my neighbor on this side... so, this neighbor is Matt Sorum, who's the drummer for Guns N' Roses and this neighbor is Abby Berman. You don't know her; she's fantastic."
"Our neighborhood school, Rosewood Elementary, has no arts program — no school in L.A. has an arts program, they have been cut," she went on to say, "So we adopted that school and we are responsible financially for that arts program in perpetuity, so we raise money every year for that… We're having a big gala where we are going to raise all this money that we need… and every penny we make… goes toward our curriculum we provide for anybody that wants it.”
