Internationally famous as Violet, the gum-smacking brat from “Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory” (1971), and as Amy Collins on “Dark Shadows” (1968-1970), actress Denise Nickerson died at 62 on July 10, 2019, of pneumonia in the aftermath of a stroke.

A popular HGTV figure who hosted “House Hunters” for nine years, vivacious Suzanne Whang died at just 56 on September 17, 2019, after battling breast cancer for 13 years.

Kristoff St. John played Neil Winters on the soap “The Young and the Restless” for 28 years, for which he twice won the Daytime Emmy. He died at 52 on February 3, 2019, of hypertrophic heart failure.

Taiwanese-Canadian model and actor Godfrey Gao, 35, who starred in 2013’s “The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones,” died on November 27, 2019, of cardiac arrest while shooting the sports reality show “Chase Me.”

Just 20 when he died on July 6, 2019, Cameron Boyce was known for starring on the Disney Channel series “Jessie” from 2011-2015 and in the “Descendants” series (2015-2019). He died of an epileptic seizure.

Democratic Rep. Elijah Cummings represented Maryland in the House for over 20 years, and was on the Committee on Oversight and Reform throughout 2019. When he died at 68 on October 17, 2019, it was revealed he had battled cancer for 25 years.

On April 20, 2019, model Stefanie Sherk, the wife of Oscar nominee Demián Bichir died at 43 of suicide.

A familiar face from TV’s “Alice” (1983-1985), the pilot of “The Golden Girls” (1985), and a much-loved “Seinfeld” episode (1993), actor Charles Levin went missing in June. Horrifically, when his body was found, it was naked and at the bottom of a ravine. Badly decomposed, it had been partially consumed by turkey vultures. Police ruled out suicide and foul play, ruling his death accidental. His dog died inside his car, which was found stuck nearby. Levin was 70.

Pink Taco restaurateur Harry Morton, who once dated Lindsay Lohan, died at 38 on November 23, 2019, of a previously undisclosed heart ailment.

South Korean model, singer, and actress Sulli, who appeared on TV and in films, hanged herself on October 14, 2019. She was only 25.

“Chelsea Lately” sidekick Chuy Bravo died at 63 on December 15, 2019, of a heart attack.

The Roxette singer died at 61 on December 9, 2019, after a 17-year cancer battle.

The 22-year-old granddaughter of the late Sen. Robert F. Kennedy, Saoirse Kennedy Hill took her own life on August 1 via a mixture of pills and alcohol after battling depression.
