Exclusive: Jeff Lewis Speaks Out About His 2-Year-Old Daughter Being Expelled from Preschool

In an exclusive interview, “Flipping Out” star Jeff Lewis spoke with “Extra's” Billy Bush Wednesday, giving details about why his 2-year-old daughter Monroe was unceremoniously expelled from a prestigious Montessori preschool in L.A.

Jeff shared the news of Monroe being expelled on his XM Sirius radio show "Jeff Lewis Live" yesterday, saying school administrators told him she was no longer welcome at the elite preschool after they received complaints about negative comments he made about some parents and the school on his radio show.

Jeff revealed to Billy, “The fact that we are even talking about this and my daughter is not even 3 is mind-boggling to me. But, you know, I bought what they were selling, and I have been stressed about finding the right school and the right place for my daughter.”

Lewis added that he and his ex-partner, Gage Edward, with whom he co-parents Monroe, searched for the most prestigious school, telling Billy, “I will say, it was a competitive school, we lobbied for it, we got referrals, and when we got in, it was like, 'We won!' But did we ever at any point in time think, 'Is this the right school for Monroe, actually?'”

As for the comments he made on the air, Jeff said, “So I happen to read a few emails, not mentioning last names, on the radio. And that angered some of these moms. These moms, they're like a gang."

Billy asked Jeff how Monroe was doing, and Jeff joked, “Can I tell you, she doesn't have to go to school, she loves it! She's the winner here. She goes to the park and all the classes. She's having a great ol' time! But I told her, I said, 'Look, if you're not going to go to school, you're going to have to get a job!'”
