Whitney Port on Pregnancy Cravings and ‘The Hills’ Baby Boom!
Whitney Port is expanding her family and her lifestyle brand!
The former reality star stopped by Universal Studios Hollywood, where she talked to “Extra's” Charissa Thompson about her pregnancy and new limited-edition collection of disposable tableware for Cheeky.
The 32-year-old, who is six months along, is expecting her first child with husband Tim Rosenman.
Whitney revealed to Charissa that one of her biggest cravings has been chocolate milk. “Which is crazy,” she said. “Obviously, chocolate milk is delicious no matter if you're pregnant or not, but for me there is just something good in the dairy and the thirst-quenching and filling-me-up. It's just so good and so decadent.”
Pregnancy hasn't been easy for Port, and she has been sharing her experiences with other expecting moms via vlogs. “It was really important for me to share that. Obviously, I didn't know it was going to be so difficult, but as soon as I started feeling those symptoms, I was like, 'You know what? It can't just be me that feels this way.'”
She added, “So the more I talk about it the more I can get support selfishly, and then people who hear it can support each other and really be a forum for each other to complain to and vent to… It's been really amazing both for me and the whole community of sick pregnant women.”
Port is not the only “Hills” alum expecting — Heidi and Spencer Pratt just announced they have a baby on the way. “It is really exciting,” said Whitney. She also described Kristen Cavallari, who has three kids, as a “full-on mom.” Noting that Lauren Conrad is pregnant, too, Whitney called it a “'Hills' baby boom.”
Smiling, she said, “It's pretty wild. I guess it's been 10 years, so I'm glad that we've become responsible adults by now.”
Before Port takes on diaper duty, she is working with Cheeky on a limited-edition collection of disposable tableware sold at Target.
“It's really cute wine tumblers and paper plates, napkins, cold cups, hot cups — everything you need to set your table in style without breaking the bank and having to purchase crazy china, and also giving back. Every package that you buy donates a meal to those in need. We work with Feeding America, and it's a really awesome company to work with.”
