Eva Longoria on Life at 40: 'I've Never Felt Better'
Actress Eva Longoria is loving life!
She joined “Extra's” Mario Lopez at Universal Studios Hollywood and dished on turning 40, her new boyfriend and more.
Eva celebrated her 40th birthday on March 15th and revealed, “I've never felt better, never been in better shape in my life, never been happier in my life, love where I'm at emotionally and spiritually, for me, I'm so happy.”
She laughed, “I've always said that I was like, open arms for 40, because I want my 40-year-old mind, all the experience to help now, I want my 20-year-old body, but my 40-year-old mind.”
Part of her happiness comes from boyfriend of two years, Televisa Media Company President Jose “Pepe” Antonio Baston. “He's good, I need to call him. He said I need to talk to Mario.”
While Eva doesn't have children of her own, she is getting a taste of motherhood by spending time with Pepe's. “You know kids are hard, I don't have any, but I have stepkids… I love it, it's just you're all consumed.”
Eva is busy at work executive producing Lifetime's “Devious Maids,” and welcomed new cast member Naya Rivera. “She's great, she's a really fantastic actress, she's beautiful and has a fun role, so people will enjoy seeing her in a different light outside 'Glee'… we also have a great guest star. Justina Machado is guesting on one show as well, we're going to occupy all the gorgeous Latinas and put them on our show.”
The “Desperate Housewives” star made her own return to network television in NBC's “Telenovela.” “So much fun, it's so funny, we just finished the pilot, we just finished editing, testing, now it's ready to go to upfronts in May, then start back in July on NBC, watch it!”
Longoria is also expanding her creative empire by designing a new line of home goods for JCPenny. “I'm very domestic, people don't know that. I've always loved trying to make a house a home. One of my aunts always told me no matter what you do, if you live in a crappy apartment, make it a home, if you live in a big house make it a home… so I've always been obsessed with bedding, curtains, bathrooms, making sure it looks like it's lived in.”
