Ralph Macchio Goes Back in Time for Role in the Play ‘A Room of My Own’
Actor Ralph Macchio stopped by “Extra’s” H&M studio in Times Square to talk with AJ Calloway about his new play “A Room of My Own.”
Macchio explained, “I play Carl Morelli — he's a writer. It is a comedy about an Italian-American eccentric, slightly dysfunctional, if not very dysfunctional, Italian family living in a studio apartment on Thompson Street [in Greenwich Village, New York] in 1979.”
He added, “I'm going back in my life to write and make sense of the insanity I grew up with, so I interact with my 10-year-old self and I weave in and out of my memory and how it’s warped over time.”
