‘NCIS’ Star Rocky Carroll on His Tough Meeting with Oprah Winfrey

Rocky Carroll is doing double duty on tonight’s “NCIS,” acting and director the episode. Plus, he’s dishing on the hardest acting job he’s had yet!

The actor chatted with “Extra’s” Charissa Thompson at Universal Studios Hollywood, where he revealed his new endeavor coming up with Oprah Winfrey, who stars and produces the HBO project “The Immortal life of Henrietta Lacks."

Rocky said of Oprah, “She’s pretty amazing once you get over the fact that you’re sitting in the same room with Oprah Winfrey. The biggest acting job I’ve had was to pretend like I wasn’t knocked out to be sitting next to Oprah Winfrey.”

As for his recurring role on “NCIS,” tonight’s episode will be a bit different for him considering he will be calling the shots as well as appearing in it. “It gives you a different perspective as an actor and you’re never late for a set call once you’ve directed,” he admitted, adding, “The first time you’re a director and you’re standing there going, ‘Where’s the talent?’ and everyone goes, ‘Welcome to my world.’”

“NCIS” has all the heart-pounding action tonight on CBS.
