Behind the Canvas: Stories of Courtroom Sketch Artists
Some of the most chilling and dramatic court cases are seen through the eyes of a sketch artist, and now you can see the trial artwork in a special exhibit at the Newport Beach Central Library.
Some of the sketches on display are from the trials of Charles Manson, O.J. Simpson, Patty Hearst and Michael Jackson. The showcase comes after the release of "The Illustrated Courtroom: 50 Years of Court Art," a book co-compiled by Elizabeth Williams that features sketch artist Bill Robles' Charles Manson illustration on the cover.
