Lee Daniels stopped by the “Extra” studio at Levi’s Times Square, where we surprised him with a special guest.

Charles Allen was there to greet Daniels, who made the 2013 film “The Butler” about Allen’s father, Eugene Allen.

Charles thanked him from the bottom of his heart for making his mother’s dream come true with “The Butler,” about Eugene’s decades of work in the White House. Lee, who received an Oscar nomination for the film, told him, “That movie changed my life.”

Watch the video for a funny story about the first time Allen met Oprah Winfrey and Gayle King!
