‘Extra’s’ Billy Bush & Nate Burleson Discuss George Floyd’s Death and What Needs to Change in America

The death of George Floyd has sparked outrage across the country. “Extra’s” Billy Bush sat down with Nate Burleson via video to discuss Floyd and some of the big issues facing America.

Floyd, a 46-year-old black man, died Monday shortly after being arrested for a non-violent act in Minneapolis. Video of the arrest shows a white police officer with his knee on Floyd’s neck as Floyd says he can’t breathe and pleads for help.

Nate, who played for the Minnesota Vikings, had a message for anyone trying to rationalize what happened. “Here's the thing: You can't convince me that somebody handcuffed deserves to die... You can't convince me that someone handcuffed on the ground deserves to die. You can't convince me that somebody handcuffed on the ground, pleading for their life deserves to die.”

Bush and Burleson also shared what they would like to see change. Watch.
