Lakers Photographer Andrew Bernstein on the One Time Kobe Bryant Asked Him to Stop Shooting

“Extra’s” Billy Bush recently sat down with photographer Andrew Bernstein, who is known for capturing iconic moments of Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant throughout his 20-year career.

Andrew reflected on capturing Kobe’s final game as a Laker in 2016, revealing the one time Bryant asked him to stop shooting. “We had flown on the helicopter,” he said. “As we were approaching Staples Center, he was really taken aback by the outpouring love that was there. Thousands of fans were wearing a Kobe jersey. I started to shoot and he said, ‘Not now; give me a moment.’ I think he needed a moment to soak it in.”
