Tyler Perry and Taraji P. Henson sit down with “Extra’s” Carlos Greer to talk about their new drama “Tyler Perry’s Straw.” Tyler spoke about wanting to show people on the margins who find themselves in crazy situations just to survive — and who finally reach their last straw. Taraji talked about how Perry always challenges her and being drawn to characters that “scare the hell out of me.” She also opened up about relating to her character Janiyah as a single mother herself and hoping that the story will evoke empathy in audiences.
