Chrissy Metz Talks Returning to ‘This Is Us’ Set, Plus: Her Sweet Words About Pregnant Mandy Moore
“This Is Us” is back with its fifth season in just a few days!
“Extra’s” Cheslie Kryst spoke with Chrissy Metz, who has back at work on the hit show. Referencing the COVID-19 safety protocols, she said, “We have masks, we have shields, we are in our pods… we don’t all exit or enter in the same way… We rehearse in our masks… the whole set gets wiped down… A lot of work, time, energy, money, effort, but I’m so grateful that we are doing it… There’s just some new protocols.”
Chrissy admitted the pandemic hasn’t been easy on her. She shared, “I have been well. The first couple months of quarantine were really tricky. I was really dealing with some anxiety and uncertainty. Everything that was planned, I was like, ‘Oh, no, we have to learn to live in the present.’ Thank goodness for therapy — I am doing much, much better.”
