James Van Der Beek on ‘Masked Singer’ & ‘Healing Phase’ of Cancer Battle (Exclusive)
James Van Der Beek is the Griffin! The actor chats with “Extra’s” Billy Bush after being revealed on “The Masked Singer” following a sing-off battle with Boogie Woogie. James said that amid his health issues — he revealed his colon cancer battle in November 2024 — he appreciated the mask and how it let him set all that aside and connect with an audience. He also shared that his kids thought it was cool and how he hopes to inspire them to try new things. Van Der Beek also gave an update on his health, sharing that he’s in “a healing phase” and planning to go back to work next month on “The QB and Me” sequel.
