Robin Wright Talks 'Whole Other Element of Drama’ in Final ‘House of Cards’ Season

“Extra’s” Tanika Ray sat down with Robin Wright and Michael Kelly as they promoted the final season of “House of Cards.”

Kevin Spacey’s character was killed off from the show following real-life sexual assault allegations against the actor. Despite his character’s absence, Wright pointed out, “It’s in the atmosphere… it’s his alter ego, it’s his touchstone to reality, and to have lost that adds a whole other element of drama.”

Michael praised Robin for carrying the show in the final season. He commented, “I think one of the reasons we're here is because of her… I think there was a lot of whispers of maybe shutting down after the whole Kevin thing, but she kept the train going.”

“House of Cards” premieres November 2.
