George Clooney Remembers ‘Dear Friend’ Norman Lear (Exclusive)
“Extra” caught up with George Clooney at the Seattle screening of his new movie “The Boys in the Boat,” which tells the true story of the University of Washington’s rowing team and their quest for gold at the 1936 Olympics. George spoke about being a “jock” and always wanting to make a sports movie, and he talked having fun working with the young actors. He also remembered “dear friend” Norman Lear after his recent passing at 101, reflecting that he taught us “how to grow old in the best way.” “The Boys in the Boat” is out December 17.
