Do You Have to Wear a Mask After Getting the COVID-19 Vaccine?

The COVID-19 vaccine is here, and Dr. Armand Dorian was among the healthcare works who received it this week in L.A.

“Extra’s” Billy Bush caught up with Dr. Dorian, who called it “one small shot for man, one giant leap for science and mankind.”

Does having the shot mean people like Dr. Dorian don’t have to wear a mask or social distance anymore?

He explained that after he gets his second shot, which happens 21 days after the first, he will have 95 percent immunity. “That doesn’t, however, mean that I can’t spread the virus. We don’t have data on that yet, so it is very important that we keep our masks on until we get that data.”
