The Truth About the U.S. COVID-19 Death Count
“Extra’s” Billy Bush spoke with Dr. Jennifer Ashton, who shared her take on the COVID-19 death rates.
Ashton said, “Right now in the U.S., the death count… are only confirmed COVID-19 deaths. It does not take into account people who may have been in the hospital for weeks, were never diagnosed or tested or confirmed to have COVID-19.”
She added, “We won’t have an accurate denominator until we have estimates or widespread testing of people to be able to see how many people are truly affected.”
