Stars Give Back! How Taraji P. Henson Plans to End Mental Health Stigma
“Extra’s” Tanika Ray sat down with Taraji P. Henson on the set of “Empire,” where she opened up about giving back to the community with her Boris Lawrence Henson Foundation.
The foundation, which was named after her father, aims to eradicate the stigma surrounding mental health issues in the African-American community. Along with stressing the need for more mental health professionals, she emphasized, “The first we have to do is talk about it, have open dialogue about it, that’s the only way you’re going to start to see change.”
