Rachel Zegler Dishes on ‘Snow White’

“Extra’s” Cheslie Kryst spoke with Rachel Zegler on Monday at the NYC premiere of “West Side Story,” where she dished on her title role in the highly anticipated movie adaptation of “Snow White.”

While she hasn’t talked to co-star Gal Gadot yet, Rachel noted that it’s in the “early processes.”

She added, “We’re very excited for everyone that we’re casting, and we’re still in the process of figuring out different parts.”

Rachel also opened up about her life-changing role in “West Side Story.” She said, “[My life] was changing before I even knew it, and now I look back at who I was when I was 16 and auditioning for this film.”

As for working with famed director Steven Spielberg, Zegler gushed, “He’s the most generous, genuine person in the world… I was so blessed to work with him my first time out of the gate.”

Rachel also opened up on her legendary co-star Rita Moreno, who won an Oscar for her work in the original 1961 version of “West Side Story,” saying, “She would pop into all these rehearsals and just give us the most incredible insights, the historical context of the film, and the stories that she went through when she was making the movie.”

“West Side Story” hits theaters December 10.
