Mark Hamill Remembers Carrie Fisher: ‘She’s Wonderful’ in ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’

“Extra’s” Renee Bargh caught up with Mark Hamill at the “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” premiere in L.A., where he talked about the nostalgia of the franchise, and remembered his friend and co-star Carrie Fisher.

Speaking of how emotional it’s been revisiting the films, he said, “Well, I say I'll keep composed. But it always comes unexpectedly. When I revisited the Millennium Falcon I said… ‘Oh boy, I get to go back on the Millennium Falcon?’ And so many memories rushed back. I got all choked up.”

Seeing Carrie Fisher in the film is also hard. The actress passed away last year.

“I've tried to come to terms with that,” Mark said. “I still think of her in the present tense. If she were here now she'd be putting bunny ears behind you or flipping me the bird. That was Carrie. But instead of being upset that she's not here, I have to grateful for the time I had with her. She's wonderful in the movie.”

Watch the video for more with Mark and the cast, and be sure to check out “The Last Jedi,” in theaters Dec. 15.
