Why Padma Lakshmi Is Skipping the Emmys
“Extra’s” Cheslie Kryst spoke with Padma Lakshmi, who won’t be hitting the red carpet at this year’s Emmys.
Lakshmi’s show “Top Chef: Portland” is nominated, but she’s making the decision to stay home amid the COVID-19 pandemic. She said, “I would love to go, but it just doesn’t seem prudent.”
She added, “I look forward to going next year. I hope ‘Taste the Nation with Padma Lakshmi’ gets the nomination as well.”
Padma also spread the word on her new book “Tomatoes for Neela,” which is out now!
