Fitness Guru Gunnar Peterson Teams Up With Cronut Creator Dominique Ansel to Explain Why ‘It’s Good Not to Be Home’

Pastry chef and Cronut creator Dominique Ansel and fitness guru Gunnar Peterson were among the celebrity innovators recruited by Hyatt Regency to help travelers enhance their business travel experiences. “It was very interesting for me to work with someone that is not from the food industry,” Ansel said. “And to understand his perspective into his field and into his specialty and walk out together brainstormed and finding ideas on how to make an experience unique and special for people.”

Travelers requested different ideas to enhance their travel experiences, which were used in combination with the celebrity experts’ brainstorming sessions, to create the “It’s Good Not to Be Home” movement. One suggestion was for options for in-room workouts. “I sat and wrote different workouts for different fitness goals,” Gunnar explained. “Hyatt Regency has brought those workouts to life in the form of a fitness card.” He goes on to explain how food is a part of the effort. “They’ve taken it also on a food level. And they’ve given you the menu recommended by Dominique, so you know it’s solid. It’s good not to be home. It’s good to be right here.”

Fashion designer Cynthia Rowley and tech mogul and businesswoman Randi Zuckerberg were also among the celebrity innovators involved.
