Katherine Heigl Gets Candid About Her Past Mental Health Struggles

“Extra’s” Jenn Lahmers chatted with Katherine Heigl and Harry Connick Jr. as they promoted their film “Fear of Rain.”

The movie brings attention to those dealing with mental health issues.

Heigl opened up about her mental health, saying, “It started for me about five years ago where I had to really address some mental health issues that had started for me as a teenager that I just didn’t understand. I just assumed it was my own weakness… It just got significantly worse in my 30s and post-pregnancy, so I already had to deal with that. I’m so thankful I did because I can’t imagine this time of isolation and quarantining if I had not. I can’t imagine where my brain would have gone.”

“Fear of Rain” is available On Demand.
