John Legend on Playing Jesus Christ, and Possible Names for His Baby Boy

"Extra's" AJ Calloway caught up with singer John Legend on the red carpet in New York today to talk about NBC's live presentation of “Jesus Christ Superstar” airing on Easter Sunday. John is not only starring as Jesus Christ in the famed musical, he also serves as one of the producers.

AJ asked John if he was nervous about it. John said, “They called us and said, John, do you want to play Jesus Christ? I really couldn't turn it down, it was such an iconic role in such an iconic show... I listened to the cast recording again just to make sure I could do it. Once I decided I felt like I could do it, I said, 'Let's go!'"

What about the thrilling news that he and wife Chrissy Teigen are expecting their second child? John shared, “We're excited about the baby.” When AJ suggested the name "John, Jr." or “JJ,” John laughed and said, "We'll see. We grew up watching JJ!"

What has their daughter Luna been up to? John joked, “Luna has to arrange all of her little dolls in a certain way before she can go to sleep. She's got her own little process now.”
