Inside Scoop: ‘OITNB’ Star Laverne Cox Gets Her Own Ice Cream Flavor!
Sweet tribute! To honor transgender activist Laverne Cox and to celebrate Pride weekend, Three Twins Ice Cream in San Francisco is releasing an ice cream flavor named “Chocolate Orange Is the New Black.”
The California-based ice cream company describes the flavor as “Chocolate Orange Confetti,” and it will be available to try June 26 through June 28.
Other flavors created for the SF Pride Celebration, the largest LGBT gathering in the nation, include Harvey Milk and Honey, Dorothy's Ruby Slipper, and Freedom to Marry Cherry.
Laverne will receive a second honor that weekend when the San Francisco branch of Madame Tussauds Wax Museum unveils her wax figure June 26.
