Avril Lavigne & Mod Sun Call Off Engagement (Report)

Avril Lavigne, 38, and Mod Sun, 35, have ended their engagement
Lavigne's rep confirmed the split to Page Six.
The split news appears to be a surprise for Mod. His rep told the outlet, "They were together and engaged as of three days ago when he left for tour so if anything has changed that’s news to him."
Sources told TMZ that the singers have been “on and off” for months as they tried to work things out.
No word on why they decided to split, but TMZ says they were told no cheating was involved.
Avril was recently spotted at Nobu with Kylie Jenner's ex Tyga, but TMZ sources say they are just good friends.
The now exes were recently spotted together at a Grammy event, and one of their last Instagram posts together shows the pair holding hands and ice skating on Christmas Eve.

Mod Sun, real name Derek Smith, popped the question in Paris last March, and Avril said yes. Just before the proposal, Avril told "Extra's" Rachel Lindsay "relationships are not easy, but at the same time I do love, love." She went on, "I want to be in a relationship and happy and long term and I’m in a really good place in my life right now."
After the engagement, "Extra" spoke with Mod Sun at the "Good Mourning" premiere. He opened up about popping the question in Paris and said of wedding planning, "She'll take the lead and I'll make sure it is everything that she wanted." Watch!
