The Latest on Beth Chapman After She Was Placed in a Medically Induced Coma

Over the weekend, Beth Chapman, the wife and co-star of Duane "Dog the Bounty Hunter" Chapman, was placed in a medically induced coma as she battles cancer.

On Monday, Chapman's lawyer Andrew Brettler gave a health update on Beth, telling USA Today that she remains in “very serious” condition at a hospital.

Brettler added that her family members “have been with her at the hospital.”

Beth's daughter Bonnie posted a pic of herself and brother Garry in an airplane as they landed in Hawaii. Once she got to the hospital, she wrote on her Instagram Story, "There's not much of an update I can give, I can say she's getting good care. I know you guys wanted more but yknow its a coma."

According to The Blast, Beth is fighting for life, while her family is hoping for a miracle.

A source told the outlet that it is a “touch-and-go” situation at the Queen's Medical Center in Honolulu. She was rushed to the hospital after a choking incident at her home when she couldn't “catch her breath.”

On Saturday, Dog "humbly" requested that everyone "please pray for Beth," thanking "everyone for their prayers throughout Beth's battle with cancer,” in a statement to Hawaii News Now.

Dog followed up with a tweet asking, "Please say your prayers for Beth right now thank you love you."

Just days before the 51-year-old was placed in a medically induced coma, Beth celebrated her daughter Cecily's 26th birthday. She wrote on Instagram, “A true beauty with street smarts she's reliable dependable trustworthy and true a bit devious but that comes from her up bringing she's clever and sassy 🤦‍♀️ but you'll find no one more loyal to family then she!”

Beth was first diagnosed with stage 2 throat cancer in September 2017, but thought she had beat it. In November of the following year, doctors discovered the cancer had returned and had spread to her lungs.

In January, the couple announced their new reality series "Dog's Most Wanted," but by April, she was rushed to a hospital with respiratory issues, and wound up having "almost four liters of fluid from her lungs."
