Katie Krause will serve as both a digital and on-air correspondent at “Extra,” and will work with ExtraTV.com to continue to grow the brand’s digital presence.
Krause has been a senior digital producer and correspondent for “Entertainment Tonight” for over seven years. During her tenure, she helped grow the company’s digital initiative and served as a correspondent for both digital and on-air. Her focus was young Hollywood, music, and television. She booked several exclusives for the brand, including Britney Spears’ 2018 exclusive sit-down and Cardi B’s only exclusive sit down of 2019, and booked, produced and interviewed other notable stars, including Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus, Eva Mendes and Jessica Simpson. Krause was also the first reporter to interview Billie Eilish for any major entertainment news outlet. Her effortless ability to make interviews fun and engaging while still yielding important news updates have made her a standout in the industry.
Other notable moments Katie handled for the brand include exclusively touring Patrick Dempsey’s Cancer Research Center in his hometown of Maine and covering hundreds of carpets and premieres, at which she broke several stories that led to major headlines for the company. Her uncanny ability to predict trends and understand what fans and viewers want helped Katie to bring in over 100 million digital video views for ET.
Previously, Katie grew ClevverNews from the ground up, amassing over 2 million subscribers for the brand in less than two years. She also created the digital series The Daily Hollywood Rundown, now owned by Hearst, and was a co-creator of Hollywire.
Katie earned her degree in broadcast journalism at Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
