There’s no stopping the pulse-pounding, heart-racing, five-time Emmy-winning juggernaut known as “The Pitt”!
From the Emmys to the Golden Globes to the Actor Awards and our exclusive behind the scenes in the emergency department, “Extra” has been everywhere with Noah Wyle and the cast.
Season 2 is already outperforming Season 1, which is big news for Noah, who plays Dr. Robby.
“Extra” recently spoke with Noah on set, who discussed the second season.
He said, “Part of coming back in a sophomore attempt is to answer that question — are you going to be as good as the first season? Is it going to be bigger? Is it going to be bolder?”
Wyle emphasized, “We just wanted this to feel like another day in the hospital with characters that you identified with in Season 1 who are now 10 months further in their careers and have been through more.”
Katherine LaNasa is winning hearts again as charge nurse Dana Evans. She even took a field trip to the real-life hospital that inspired the show.
LaNasa shared with us, “It feels really meaningful that I’m helping them feel seen and helping them feel acknowledged. It feels like something important.”
Patrick Ball's Dr. Langdon is also back after going to rehab. He shared, "Langdon is somebody who's most comfortable at work, feels most comfortable feeling that he's of use in the ER."
Taylor Dearden, who plays Dr. King, shared her take on what’s different in the second season, saying, “We’ve had a fun time both seasons, but this time, it's not as much the success of the show as much as it is we just feel more comfortable now. There's a lot less anxiety."
The show took home Best Drama at the 2025 Emmys. Noah has grabbed an Emmy, a Golden Globe, a Critics Choice Award, and an Actor Award for his role. And, the cast was recently recognized for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series at the Actor Awards.
This season brought us some new faces, including Sepideh Moafi as Noah's rival and sabbatical replacement, Laëtitia Hollard, Irene Choi, and Lucas Iverson.
And as their shift comes to an end, we're already looking forward to Season 3!
