Britney Spears Arrested for DUI

Singer Britney Spears was arrested on a DUI charge Wednesday night.

According to inmate records obtained by “Extra,” Spears was handcuffed at 9:28 p.m. in Ventura County, California.

Spears was booked at 3:02 a.m. and released at 6:07 a.m.

Following her arrest, Spears was reportedly taken to the hospital, where her blood was drawn to determine her BAC level, TMZ reports.

According to the outlet, Britney was "crying a lot" while being processed in jail.

Before Spears was pulled over, she was reportedly driving erratically.

"Extra" has obtained the 911 call about a "Black BMW sedan in and out of lanes… speeding."

Along with saying "2026 convertible out of LA," the cop asked, "Can we send all units down towards this area please."

Later, another office is heard saying, "Talking with the driver."

The second officer added, "Driver is out of the vehicle."

Earlier in the day, Spears posted a video on Instagram about a “song representing fragility," but she has since deactivated her account.

Spears has not commented on her arrest, but her rep has spoken out.

In a statement obtained by "'Extra," the rep said, "This was an unfortunate incident that is completely inexcusable. Britney is going to take the right steps and comply with the law and hopefully this can be the first step in long overdue change that needs to occur in Britney’s life. Hopefully, she can get the help and support she needs during this difficult time."
