Trump Makes Surprise 'Visit' to Supporters Outside Walter Reed

President Trump released a video Sunday afternoon praising Walter Reed hospital and declaring that he has learned a lot during his journey battling COVID-19 — and he previewed a surprise drive-by to "visit" his supporters gathered outside the Maryland facility.

View Story"I also think we're gonna pay a little surprise to some of the great patriots that we have out on the street, and they've been out there for a long time and they've got Trump flags and they love our country," he says in the clip, wearing a suit jacket and white dress shirt with no tie.
"I learned a lot about COVID, I learned it by really going to school — this is the real school, this isn't the 'let's read the book' school. And I get it, and I understand it, and it's a very interesting thing and I'm gonna be letting you know about it," he said of the virus that has killed over 200,000 Americans.
He ended the video by saying, "We love what's happening — thank you."
Following the posting of the clip, Trump, wearing a mask, was seen riding in the back of a black SUV outside of Walter Reed. He waved to supporters and did a second sweep, waving to the media.

The President was not released from the hospital; the trip ended with him being dropped back off at Walter Reed.
