Why Dr. Dre’s Estranged Wife Says Their Prenup is ‘Null and Void’ in $1 Billion Divorce

Dr. Dre's $1 billion divorce could get complicated. His estranged wife is challenging their prenup, reports TMZ.

Nicole Young filed docs claiming that she never wanted to sign the prenup just before their 1996 wedding, and that he later tore up the agreement.

According to the docs, she said, “I was extremely reluctant, resistant and afraid to sign the agreement and felt backed into a corner. Given the extraordinary pressure and intimidation by Andre, I was left with no option but to hire a lawyer (of course, with the help of Andre's team of professionals) and unwillingly signed the agreement very shortly before our marriage.”

Young states that two years later: “Andre acknowledged to me that he felt ashamed he had pressured me into signing a premarital agreement and he tore up multiple copies of the agreement in front of me. Since the day he tore up the agreements, we both understood that there was no premarital agreement, and that it was null and void.”

Sources tell TMZ she did have her own attorney to help with the prenup, adding that it is untrue that he ripped up the agreement and deemed it invalid.

Insiders also tell the site that he is willing to pay spousal support and her expenses, but she wants the judge to separate the divorce from the prenup.

Young filed for divorce in June, citing irreconcilable differences.
