Nearly two years after he popped the question, country singer Luke Combs, 30, is married!
Over the weekend, Combs tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend Nicole Hocking at their Florida home. Along with posting some wedding pics, he wrote on Instagram, “Yesterday was the best day of my life. I got to marry my best friend. I love you @nicohocking, here's to forever."
Nicole shared the same pics, adding, “Yesterday was the most special day!! I'm so happy to spend the rest of my life with you. Although we wish [we] could have had every single one of our family & friends there, we can't wait to celebrate with everyone next year!"
She continued, “So excited to share more of this day soon. much love!"
The guest list was kept to a minimum, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In a statement, his rep told People magazine, “Despite the threat of a hurricane, the couple had a lovely intimate ceremony and will be celebrating with friends and family in the new year.”
In November 2018, Luke proposed to Nicole before a vacation in Hawaii. At the time, he shared a pic from their getaway, saying, “She said yes a while ago but this is a much better place to take pictures than the kitchen. Can’t wait to spend forever with you @nicohocking. I Love You! #Mahalo.”
Nicole posted the same photo, writing, “You’re stuck with me forever!! I love you so much babe.”
Combs and Hocking started dating in 2016 when there “was no publishing deal, no record deal, no booking deal.” He told People magazine, “Everybody was like, ‘Yeah, this is never gonna work.’ And so I didn’t have anything when we met.”
Combs’ hits “She Got the Best of Me,” “One Number Away,” “When It Rains It Pours,” and “Hurricane” have all topped the Billboard Country Airplay chart.
