Two months after they first sparked dating rumors, actress Nina Dobrev, 31, and snowboarding star Shaun White, 33, are going public with their relationship!
On Thursday, the two made it Instagram official. Nina posted a pic of herself cutting Shaun’s hair. She wrote on Instagram, “Adding to resume: hairdresser ✂️.”
Along with sharing a time-lapse video of the haircut, Shaun wrote on his own Instagram, “My hairstylist said he wouldn’t, so she did 😨✂️ #QuarantineCuts.”
It seems to be a big step for Nina, who tends to keep her love life off-the-radar. An insider told E! News, “Nina doesn't take sharing her personal life very lightly, but it shows how happy and secure she is with Shaun and their relationship that she is willing to take this step.”
The insider noted that they started to “ease into a relationship” after spending New Year’s Eve together, but things “really accelerated” during the COVID-19 pandemic. They said, “After spending weeks together during quarantine, Nina and Shaun have made it clear to their friends that they are a serious couple."
Earlier this month, a source told People about Nina and Shaun’s budding romance, “Their friends were surprised at first about the relationship but now that they’ve seen them together it actually makes a lot of sense. They’re both goofy and have a similar sense of humor and are super adventurous. They have plenty in common."
A third pal told Us Weekly, “Shaun and Nina have really been enjoying quarantining and living together. They’re super compatible and both free-spirited people. They’re very comfortable around each other and both supportive of one another in their fields.”
Last month, Nina and Shaun fueled more rumors when she posted a video of how to wash groceries with his help. Inspired by Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin’s recent video, Nina seemingly used Shaun’s hands in the video to demonstrate her safety practices
“I know that everyone’s been talking about washing your hands, and that’s super important, but it’s also important to wash your groceries when coming back from the store,” Nina said in front of a sink while a man with freckled arms served as her hands.

You can never be too cautious. Don’t just wash your hands, wash the groceries when you come back from the store. Some reports say that COVID can live on plastic, cardboard and produce for multiple days. I take extra measures to make sure I’m staying safe at home. Hope you are too! • Inspired by @dakotajohnson •
While Nina doesn’t identify Shaun, the man has an arm tattoo similar to Shaun's.
Nina previously dated filmmaker Grant Mellon, but they called it quits in November.
