Dennis Quaid Opens Up About Postponing His Wedding Due to the Coronavirus
“Extra's” Billy Bush sat down with Dennis Quaid… at a safe, six-foot distance.
As the country continues to go into lockdown due to the coronavirus, Quaid said, “We are hunkered down. There is a lot of time to catch up on things.”
In fact, he and fiancée Laura Savoie have decided to postpone their wedding in Hawaii.
“We were supposed to be married April 4 in Kauai,” he told Billy. “Craig T. Nelson gave us his house. It was going to be nice and small.”
Dennis added, “We postponed… once we started to hear about Italy… We have a few members of the family and friends who have low immune systems due to medical treatment, medical issues going on. We decided, 'Let's just postpone.'"
Laura, however, does have her dress! “The dress was already ordered and somehow it made it here from Spain.”
Nelson told Quaid his invitation stands. “He said of course it did," Dennis told us. "Now, we may do something closer to home. We're going to wait for this to lift.”
Dennis is encouraging others to do the same, saying, “I think everyone needs to obey the rules.”
He also has a new podcast called “The Denissance,” explaining, “I have conversations with the most interesting people that I have met, you being one of them, Billy.”
