Amanda Bynes' Engagement Called Off

Amanda Bynes' Engagement Called Off

Just three weeks after Amanda Bynes introduced the world to her new fiancé, Paul Michael, he has now confirmed they have split.

In a statement to In Touch, Michael said they're over, but, "I love her, though. She's my best friend."

The news follows Bynes, 33, deleting her social media mentions of Michael, 28, including the unveiling of her ring, posted on Valentine's Day. "Engaged to tha love of my life," she had captioned that photo, which quickly went viral, with fans wishing the couple well.

The couple had dated, privately, for only a few months prior to becoming engaged. Both are in recovery, and Bynes' mother Lynn Bynes is her conservator.

The last time Amanda and Paul were seen in public was at an IHOP breakfast on February 24.

Still, Bynes has much for which to be thankful — less than a week ago, she posted cheerfully that she was, "Celebrating being sober a year and two months!"
