Prince Harry is back in the UK finishing up his royal duties, and he just revealed a big name change!
While attending a summit for eco-friendly tourist company Travalyst in Edinburgh, the Duke of Sussex insisted he did not want to be referred to as “Prince.”
DailyMail.com reports host Ayesha Hazarika told the crowd, "He's made it clear that we are all just to call him Harry. So ladies and gentlemen, please give a big, warm, Scottish welcome to Harry."
Harry and wife Meghan Markle are in the process of stepping down as senior royals, a decision now dubbed “Megxit.” The couple just announced they will not use the terms “royal” and “Sussex Royal” after the transition, and they had previously agreed to give up their “royal highness” titles.
The couple plans to split their time between the UK and North America and become financially independent.
Sky News reports the pair has five more engagements left before they officially exit March 31. Coming up, Harry will attend a recording session with Jon Bon Jovi in connection with the Invictus Games. Meghan is also expected to mark International Women’s Day. Other events include the Endeavour Fund Awards, the Silverstone Experience opening and Mountbatten Music Festival.
